What is the C3 project?

C3 Project is for young people aged 14-18 in Croydon who want to develop their writing and performance skills. We will take you from writing to a staged production in Fairfield Halls in just under a year.

How does it work?

Well Versed Ink will work with young people to co-create a script for a performance in Autumn 2022. You will work through a range of techniques, guided by some of the UK's finest spoken word artists, as well as attending theatre shows to produce a unique performance of stories from young people.

How often are the workshops

The workshops are 90 minutes and run weekly during term time.

Who can take part?

The project is for young people between 14 and 18 years old who live and/or go to school in the borough of Croydon.

What happens in the workshops?

During the workshops, we will have themed discussions about things that are most important to us and how we tell the stories of our relationships to them.

The workshops will be in phases;  the first will centre on writing, the second will be performance and the third will be movement and stage direction.

Who runs the workshop?

The workshops will be run by justine Agbowu of Well Versed Ink with guest artists delivering a range of techniques and styles.

Do I need writing experience?

No, the truth about writing is that the only thing you need to know is your truth and let it flow. From your stories we will go through a series of tips and techniques and attend shows to help build on your skills and experiences.

Who will see my performance?

The performance will be held in Fairfield Halls in the Autumn Term of 2022 to your family, friends and members of the general public supporting your work.

When do the workshops begin?

Workshops began in the spring term of January 2022.
